I had a great experience with Up North Tree Care. Logan helped take care of a tree that was too close to my house, and everything went exactly as it should. He showed up on time, took the time to talk with me, and answered all of my questions about other trees on the property. What really stood out was how thorough he was. He even contacted the utility company to have my yard marked before grinding the stump, which gave me a lot of confidence in the process. Logan and his assistant were courteous, efficient, and professional from start to finish. The whole job was handled quickly and with care. I would absolutely recommend Up North Tree Care to anyone in the area looking for tree services, and I will definitely be calling Logan again in the future.

Meet Logan.
When you hire Up North Tree Care, one person is accountable from the first phone call to the last branch hauled away: me. You deal with me directly, and the crew on your property is my own. When a job calls for specialized equipment beyond what we run in-house, I bring in a trusted partner and stay on it start to finish.
I've spent years climbing trees across Northern Michigan, and I started this company to do the work the right way: walk the property before the saw comes out, climb when a bucket truck can't reach, and leave your property cleaner than we found it.

Do you serve my town?
Yes. We regularly serve Manistee, Onekama, Bear Lake, Ludington, Frankfort, and the smaller towns in between (Kaleva, Arcadia, Copemish, Benzonia, and Brethren). For locations farther out, please ask; we'll travel for the right job.
How do you price a job?
We price per job, not per hour. We come out, review the work with you, and provide a flat quote, with no surprises mid-job and no added line items later.
Estimates are free, and we usually return them the same day.
How soon can you come out?
Estimates usually come within a day or two. Scheduling the work depends on our current workload, but most jobs are booked within two weeks. Hazardous trees and storm damage are prioritized.
Are you insured?
Yes. Up North Tree Care LLC carries both liability and workers' compensation insurance. We're happy to provide the certificates before we begin; just ask.
Do you take on small jobs?
Yes. A single branch over the roof, one stump, or a tree leaning the wrong way is exactly the kind of work we take. There's no minimum job size, and we won't talk you into work you don't need.
Do you clean up afterward?
Yes. Every job ends with the yard cleaner than we found it: brush hauled away, chips raked, and the driveway wiped down. If you'd like the wood cut to length for firewood, just let us know when we quote.
How do I pay?
Once the job is done, we send a QuickBooks invoice that you can pay by card, bank transfer, or check directly from the email. No deposit is required up front.
